The mission of the Metropolitan Detroit Veterans Coalition is to help promote patriotism within our communities. We will accomplish this by inviting Veterans Organizations and Patriotic citizens that share our same goals to become part of this Organization.

Every year we will organize a Veterans Day Parade with the goal of increasing awareness and appreciation of all Veterans and their Families that have and continue to sacrifice so much for our Freedom.

We will be dedicated to responding to the political and social needs of Veterans, members of our military and their Families. We will not be a political organization however we will be knowledgeable of issues and we will actively seek passage of legislation of importance to Veterans.

About Us

The Metropolitan Detroit Veterans Coalition(MDVC) was formed in 2007 to help promote patriotism within our communities.  Our organization consists of Veterans from all branches of the service and patriotic citizens from across Metropolitan Detroit, working together to address and promote veterans concerns, preserve the memories of what veterans and our armed forces have done for America and to maintain the comradeship developed among all veterans while serving honorably in our nation's military.

The MDVC is an advocate for those serving in the military, our veterans and their families and a resource for providing information on services and benefits they have earned through their service and sacrifice while serving in the armed forces of  United States of America.

Every year the MDVC organizes a Veterans Day Paradein the City of Detroit which is held the Saturday before Veterans Day (Nov-11).  The parade's objective is to increase the public's awareness of the sacrifices all Veterans their families and the brave men and women serving in our armed forces have made and continue to make for our great nation, as well as to give our citizens the opportunity to come and thank them.

Finally we will be dedicated to responding to the political and social needs of Veterans and their families.  We will not be a political organization however we will be knowledgeable of issues and we will actively engage with politicians and elected officials to seek passage of legislation of importance to veterans.
